Lighting fires in damp conditions

Don't really want to be purist about it. But want to know I can do it. Then perhaps onto bowdrill or whatever. Once mastered I'll probably end up using the modern conveniences to get a fire going.

Absolutely, its part of the bushcraft buzz...But once you've got there, occasionally its nice to take a shortcut. Plus its useful to have a back up while your learning.
