Hi all

Went into my local Lidl in Torquay yesterday and spotted a military style sighting compass for £3.99. For that you gat the compass, which has a metal body and a plastic centre section and a light weight cordura pouch to keep it in with a 2" belt loop on the back.

For £3.99, you can't go wrong. I bought 2, so my son can have one as well.

Phill;)

Hi Matt

I've checked it next to both of my other compass' and it seems accurate, if a little over sensetive perhaps.

I will use it in conjunction with a compass I trust the first time out and find out for sure. But at £3.99 I thought it was worth taking a chance, if it turns out to be rubbish it was only £3.99 each. :deal:

I hope they stock the now famous 'Lidl Trangia' this year, they are really well worth geting two or three for what they cost (or did last time they were sold). keep an eye out at Aldi as well, this time of year they sell two non stick billy cans with frying pan lid which fit the Lidl cooker as if made for it.
