Do a Google search for "Le Prevo" in Newcastle - on - Tyne (might need to try alternative spelling) then give them a ring. Jan is extremely helpful if you wanted offcuts rather than a hide.

I think a lot of us use Le Prevo, it was originally recomended to me by one of the guys on British Blades (this was for making sheaths).

You can make sheaths out of anything from about 2.5mm going up, I would tend to use this sort of grade for Scandi's as they tend to be smaller and lighter than most and you can make other things like torch pouches or Zippo pouches out of this grade as well:).

LePrevo arn't bad. Try also "The Identity Store" in Northampton 01604 407177
(they bought out the Pearce Tandy franchise. I have always found them very helpful).
I get a lot of leather from Keith Lyon of Lyon Leathers Ltd 01604 717349. He supplies reenactors and the Pow Wow circuit and can get hold of virtually anything in the leather line.
