does anyone out there know where you can buy leather cheaply thick enough to make a knife sheath, looking in the west yorkshire region.

Online most people seem to use http://www.leprevo.co.uk

They offer a great service and if you only want a little look into buying a Belt Strap. You can choose the width if I remember right.

There is some information on their site about suitability of the different types they have.

I have not used them before (I usually use leprevo) but I know a lot of people use the Idnetity store http://www.theidentitystore.co.uk/contactus.asp and they have a store in Matlock so should be not that far away (well before deisel was £1.30/L )

Edit: Dho! Just re-read and have seen that its west yorks and not south as I was thinking.
