Hi chaps,

As you well know leather is not my area of expertise. My blacksmithing apron is beginning to look on the tatty side. And it is a bit thin. It's taken more than its fair share of abuse.

Im wondering if I can glue a cheap leather apron on to the back of this one just to give it a bit more weight / solidity.

Any thoughts as to the plan and a an and a glue I could use?

It is what I would use, I use it gluing worktop laminate edging on and used it on my axe mask. Stays flexible too.

Sounds like it should work .. I just use impact adhesive for my leather work - but that might be expensive for your plan...

Evostick works well. Might be a bit stiff though over the whole thing.

You could rivet the outside edges and maybe a few spot in the middle to hold the two pieces together and see if that works.

Big tin from merchants of evostick is about £8. Use a plastic credit card scraper to smooth it all over. Much better coverage (remembers from gluing floor tiles to the inside of a Landy roof!)
