Had quite a few and lost quite a few fish, this morning.
Kept these ones for the pan, 10 to 12oz perfect eaters.
All the action on the wee burns has been crammed into the last few days of the season this year, as it was last. If there's still water around tomorrow morning I'll have another bash.
Have to say today has been the best fishing I've had at this particular place for a couple of years, really good when it all comes together. Had a good hold of a real brute but it got off just as I got it to the net as there was nowhere else suitable to land it. Thats fine with me, the success of the venture for me these days is actually just making contact with the fish in these marginal places.
