Hi
Thank you for your kind words
I'd like to think we are moving to an era where things handcrafted with love are prized more than mass produced throw away stuff some prefer - I'm just not sure we are moving in that direction
As bushcrafters we excel in the handmade our crafts may not be perfect - mine are far from it but all are made with consideration and longevity in mind and long may it continue
Happy Xmas and a productive new year to all
Gary

Got to ask a bit about your carvings Gary.

What wood do you use for them, is it Lime (or basswood for the american members)? Also what are the tools you used to make them, carving chisels or was it all knife work?

Hi Mesquite
Yep it is mainly lime
As for tools both of the above were done with knives I have a quite a few Flexcuts and a Ben Orford slim sloyd knife I really like, will post a couple of photos later. I also use a shallow Spoon knife (again Ben Orford designs)
Bigger carvings I also rough out with a powered carver then add details later
Faces and hands are all knife carved

Cheers
Gary
