hi all,

looking for some advice for a gift.

I'm after a similarly priced knife of a similar traditional style to the laap puukko.

Do you have any suggestions ?

I'd like a wooden handle, leather sheath, preferably stainless steel rather than carbon, and obviously suitable for bushcraft uses ?

Also where would you recommend as a good supplier of Pukko's in case I go with that option ?

Thanks,
Q.

.

A nice Swedish company

I have bought a knife from them before and was very impressed. Scroll down their page for the relevant link. They have an enormous variety of knives and a wide range of prices.

Have fun

Mike

wow, what a great selection, thanks loads - I'll give those a good look through....

I think the Puukko Gary's selling is the choice for the moment

although wish I hadn't seen the BFK - thinking about that one for myself now..

Cheers,

Well I was looking at the pukko on bearclaw's site as well, partly due to the fact that I am attending his Greenhorn course next weekend, and had read the reveiw that he did.
Took one look at the BFK and BANG next thing I know is that I've hit the buy it now button and am waiting for delivery  still the other half has the same problem with handbags :D
Still plenty of time to practice skills with my mora though
