Hi all,

I was going to post on to the maker's market from where this knife was purchased, but i feel that it deserves a thread all on it's own.

Lance had posted a while ago a neck knife that he had made from a few pieces of leftover materials, and called it a scrap necker.

I have been considering a neck knife for a while now, but have always held off, as any that i had considered all had in some way or another been unsuitable for various reasons.

As soon as i saw Lance's scrap necker i messaged him to say that i was interested, but was too late....it had already been snapped up.

Lance informed me that he would be making another 4 of these knives, and if i was quick enough i could put my name down for one...needless to say i reserved one there and then!

A few weeks later, and the postman delivered my knife today.

I'm absolutely over the moon with this little knife, the workmanship is completely flawless!

From the razor sharp 12c27 blade, to the Masur Birch handle, to the premium quality leather sheath, it is a fantastic little knife.

If anyone from this parish is considering a custom knife from a private knife maker, the professional and courteous service i have received has been second to none, and Lance has been an absolute gentleman to deal with.

Despite having a Fallkniven F1 Pro as my main fixed blade, i am now considering asking Lance to commission me a full sized fixed blade, as i am totally blown away by the quality of this little knife.

All in all a fantastic little knife from a fantastic knife maker...cheers Lance!

Anyway, here are a few photos for your pleasure....

Wow. That is truly nice.
One thing though ( being anal here) the Reindeer should be facing the other way on the blade.

:sigh:
From the Caymen islands arbiter of all that is properly Scandinavian

I've thought the same thing in the past. On a bigger knife you don't notice it so much but on the smaller blades it would look nicer facing away from the handle. I guess it comes from photography and portrait rules that a subject should always have more room in the frame in the direction that it is facing.

Either way it's a seriously nice knife and sheath. I wonder how many people have bought these and then gone on to order a larger blade to make up a good matched pair?

Jacklore is the same, faces the handle. Don't have a problem with it.
