Lakes Tomorrow

Off up to the Lakes tomorrow , just finished sorting all the gear out for a paddle on Derwent Water
If anybody else is up there keep a look out for a black 4x4 and a green nova craft canoe , a couple of dogs , wife and son , come over and say hello

Well just got back after a very long day
Derwent Water was very windy and er.................. wet , as I found out by managing to capsize twice!!!, once with the wife in the canoe

Despite the weather it was very warm and sunny so I must remember to take suntan cream next time as I look like a beetroot at the moment
Trangia got some serious use brewing up all day , somebody even asked if I would sell them a coffee.

Great first outing with the canoe and a few lessons learnt also forgot to take my camera and after the first dunking decided to leave my phone in the car
