Knife Modification

Thought you'd like to see my little knife modification. Its the indentation in the handle.

Spot on! It works really well and no its stopped wearing as the tang from the blade passes along the back of the hole. I got the idea from an American friend who has a knife which he made with that mod. I haven't abandoned my oak burr bow drill handle yet

the Esee RC-5 has one built into the micarta,

multi functional is ok but at the detrement of your knife handle??

if your in a position where your making a bow drill , then obviously there is some wood somewhere around to burn,...

so why not use some for this,..

i,m all for working knifes and have only 4 or 5 showy knifes but i cant see the point.

i will be making some fancy pants handle for my RC5 methinks

I can re handle the knife if I need to, I rarely use a drill, but it does make for a classy demo!
