to keep my hand in I started a foot long kitchen spoon yesterday and just finished it with a hours soak in food grade linseed oil. Ive made it thicker and stronger than I normally do since this is to be for stirring and tasting. For once the sycamores got a nice grain to it, usually its quite bland.

OK you can get three for a pound in town but this ones mine!

That "pan" later today will be #1 batch of lime marmalade. Wish me luck.
I make all mine at least 3/4" thick handles. You sure did get the size right.

I have very clear memory of a professional teaching chef, screaming at a student to "take the spoon out of the pot,
that the spoon was not edible and would not cook down at all. . . . . . . " Not me, boss.
