Kent Group March Day Out - 16th March

One of the plans that came about from this evening's Pub meet is to have a day out into the woods, this is primarily aimed as a scouting trip and a gear shake down session. Just a day trip, nothing too strenuous.

Where: The woods, Near Canterbury (within ~5 miles of Canterbury)
When: Sunday 16th March 1030

The exact location will be confirmed at the proceeding pub meet on the 10th, we're waiting on a couple of leads to come back before making the final decision.

For planning purposes, and to put you in the ball park:

Date: 16th March 2014
Time: 1030 RV. We will move off (on foot) form the RV point, so try to be on time.
Grid Ref: TR16 (yes that is a 2 fig reference, a 10km x 10km patch)
Nearest station: Chesterfield
Nearest bus route: Unfortunately this is East Kent and thus buses do not exist on Sundays...
Terrain: Mixed Broad-leaf Woodland and Coniferous Woodland.
Parking: Available, at your own risk.
Water: None, bring your own
Sanitation: Every tree is a lavatortree... instruction manual...
Rubbish: Please take home all your rubbish. Leave no trace practices are encouraged.
Fires: Ground fires not permitted, responsibly used stoves are acceptable.
