have a look at the swedish army boots on military mart they are unissued and only £9.99, i used mine the other day on a short 2 mile wander in fresh snow and they worked spot on, no inlet of water at all and nice and warm with 1 pair of mod arctic socks on.

cheers andrew.

I got a mate who has got a pair and he likes them, finds them toasty and very comfortable, as it happens I am just about to go into town to buy a pair this morning from Sports direct.

Just got back from town... now a few pound lighter.... tried on a pair of the Karrimor Snow Boots, and WOW, they are so comfortable and fit just right, I know i should not have taken any more cash in then i needed, found a pair of Karrimor Mens winter Trousers in my size.... the ones with the fleece lining... in Moss £19 - think they were priced wrong, had to have them, now got a toasy set of feet and legs.... :)

Glad you like them stu, 5 years agoi i plumpled for pair of caribou. Going by the thread they are suffering a quality control issue. Fleecy trousers are great this time of the year.

i usually like a size bigger in winter boots so i can vary the amount of socks or the thickness of souls i add ! p.s - I'm gonna add some segs so i can walk on the ice as well, lol. p.p.s - if you dont like the brown colour of em they take on black boot polish canny , ive just given them 1 coat so far and they look more black than brown now !

Been for a bimble trough a local wood today to try out the new boots, all I can say is I am very happy with them, very comfortable to wear, very warm, and yes found them very waterproof, thought I would give them a good try, the track through the wood is used by a fair number of walkers/horses,and also tractors, so in places loads of mud and puddles, the boots handled all I could throw at them, only time will tell, but on the first use... no regrets

I had a pair for about 2 years before the seams split. I love them for the money, recently bought another pair but a size too big for me as they seem to be "normal" fitting this time round!!

Definitely worth their price!!
