I hope people are not finding my posts to be getting boring, I recently bought a Karrimor Lynx ii for not a lot of money to go with my Lynx iii. This one is an earlier model, I'm guessing 70's maybe, what with the metal fastenings. It also doesn't have side pockets like the presumably later models. Does anyone know what year Karrimor changed from metal to plastic?

Hope you enjoy the photo's, I often find it difficult to get the colour temperature and hues right when photographing anything with a lot of red.

You certainly don't need to apologise for posting these older packs! There's something about the designs from this vintage which seem just cozy. I'm sure in use modern packs sell themselves multiple times over, but the aesthetic of these is delightful.

Thank you. I don't know what it is but these old packs just make me want to get out and do some hiking. Aesthetically, I find them so much more pleasing than modern packs. I can't wait to take this one out.

I don't know the exact year but looking at the old catalogues, they were already using plastic side release buckles in 1983 on their upper end packs. I bought a new Annapurna II in 1979 & it had metal hardware, so the actual year is somewhere in between.

Thank you. Yes, I have seen the 1983 catalogue. I wish there were more catalogues from different years.
