Really feel for you there EdS - I was out all afternoon doing them. Managed to shift several tonnes of wood though, split it, moved it into the shed for drying, and moved the nicest looking stuff into the indoor stockpile!
We seem to have burnt alot more this year than previous years - which is weird given how mild it's been!

I seem to be spending a lot of time with the axe reducing the wood pile to something that will fit in the fireplace.
Seem to have had the fire going every day. My sympathies, is your hot water running off the central heating?
