I bought this knife fairly cheap recently but when it arrived it is too heavy for my use, just the odd time to make kindling for my storm kettle. I do go on long hikes so weight is important.
I reckon I could lighten it by taking the wood handles off and making a lighter handle.Anybody got a view on that, the price means its hardly worth sending back re postage costs.

I know that seems like daft but I will not be using it much otherwise.I chose this as I needed a small fixed blade.

Sorry that should be Pyke

Shouldn't be too difficult to change the scales.

If it's lightweight you're after, why not just go for a Mora clipper or similar?
