That's not a scandi-grind, it has a secondary bevel.

You are right, the grind is sabre.

I am lucky enough to have what I understand is one of the original design models - it is obviously made from a bayonet!
It holds a great edge and is a real workhorse

I added a sugru guard but that is all I have changed!

It's hard to see the similarities with the bayonet and the modern knife although maybe the longer knife is more akin. Working all week I won't have any spare time until Sat.

I would be very surprised if this is the case.

If I can get a phot I will but I'm struggling at the minute with focus and lighting. There is no bevel I can detect by shape, feel or look.

It would be impossible to sharpen as a scandi grind without grinding the coating off. They may have initially sharpened this as a scandi grind but you will not be able to maintain it as one.

It is difficult to establish from this poor screenshot, but the edge looks fairly rounded, so it is possibly a sabre grind with a convexed secondary, there is no way that this is a Scandi grind IMHO

Well I say how I get on. The coating is Teflon and I guess as you sharpen the coating will come off at edge. I'll try to get better photos tomorrow I've been on the road all day.
