Looking around for a decent wool blanket (a few years too late to snaffle one of the real surplus bargains, but hey-ho) I found three styles of Italian Navy blankets and was wondering if anyone has a better understanding of the differences between them, since information online seems sparse.
The solid blue one is sometimes labelled as a submariner's blanket, but the two striped styles appear to be interchangeable; I can't seem to find anything describing differences in size, weight or reason for the different colour schemes. It seems uncharacteristically generous for the Navy to be giving sailors their choice of colour, if that's really the only difference.
