Is it a moss, a grass, a plant, or what?

Found amongst a mossy grass area. Edge of moorland in Yorkshire. Leaves are dark green on top, soft, papery, white underside with soft hairs. Can't look it up in one of my books until I have an idea of what it might be. Any ideas welcome. Cheers.

Probably what's commonly called a 'liverwort.'

Green, leathery, ruffled edge, white underside with the white spikey rooty things (big botanical words!)

Might be a thallose lichen?

A lichen of some sort looks a better bet, some form of dog lichen, Peltigera, perhaps?

Good, slow worm. Pics are fuzzy but I like Peltigera as a possibility.
