No. It's not a bad joke, I managed to find this link which is a cross between OSI mapping and Google earth, except that the resolution is far better. When you zoom in past a certain point it switches to ariel photography with most hard features super detailed. It's got to be handy for anyone going to Ireland for their hols or on business. (I ruddy wish we had it when I was in the Army!!)
