how do you find it for accessing bcuk ? - i have tried a couple of times with my blackberry but got frustrated with the frames....

does an asus eee with broadband dongle count?
I also use a palm T/X a lot for web browsing.
I looked at getting an iPhone but the spec was positively prehistoric for a phone.

samsung omnia aka i900

quite groovy. You can get shells that go over the windows mobile 6.1 OS, the shells can be quite handy as they are basically a more configurable front end.

The camera is great and if you sync it with your pc, all your emails are with you.

The one voible i have is, that the stylus is not merged with the phone, it is on a piece of string and could scratch the screen. I have a screen protector on and dont bother with the stylus.

runds mapping and as i Dive lots of Dive software have a few Bushy books on it to tho the ones i want to use which are interactive data bases dont seem to work and hte mushroom one is in french :lmao: :(

I'm still waiting for them to make a phone that just allows text and calls with NONE of the other (IMO) crud they cram onto the things, but with a battery life of weeks not days, rugged and waterproof. That would do me.

No torch, MMS, sat nav, gps, mp3, cameras, video, calculator, internet access, email, lame games, etc. etc. thank you very much...must be feeling grumpy today, but almost everyone I see commuting these days is either staring into a tiny 2inch screen or bleating on incessantly about subjects that could wait the 30 minutes till they get home.

Glad you like your iPhone though!

Have a look at the O2 Orbit 2.

Have you been too the Iphone sites to find out what you need to turn off to get battery life. Think the record at the moment is 36 hours.

yep that was a fav step but again i need to hand overr £200 ish to O2 and will haveth same Signal problem i have now with O2

my Wife had the orbit 1 as a company phone

also my Exec turns of at between 28-40% battery life remaining well above the safty zones  at least it dosnt dump all its info like to old ones did needing reloading only did it once before i synced all my contacts

looking at the N96 now :D

cant remember which it wa but one of the phones I have looked at receently has a Feature which links the GPS to teh camera so you can Ref you photo to where you took it which is usfull for foragers for marking furure plants etc then link it to a Word Doc and you have a full system for documentation
also one of the reasons i wanted mapping etc so i could do a similer thing with my Diving logs
plus theres a few usfull Downloads on this site that can be used on a hand held in the field

Mick, I'd also like a phone with battery life of weeks rather than one day but WITH all the stuff you mentioned. Tried BCUK on my phone (Sony W910i) and gave up after 5 mins. some things are best not viewed on a 2" screen.
