But its not new or unique, I've seen plenty of old photos of victorian novelty chairs done the same way. But a clever millenial hipster sees a way to try and make a stack of ££££'s off of it

Bent wood futniture was invented ( or developed for efficient production) in Central Europe in the 1830’s but using Beech timber, cut and shaped then steam heated and formed.

Yep, it's quite clever, have seen it before. He has a point about chopping down trees and cutting them up to stick them back together. I'm not sure how willow fares as in sapwood versus heart wood strength.

I'm sure that it's asking a bit much though an acre of coppiced willows you could be looking at tens of millions in 5 years.
