I got inspired by Otzi's knife and heard that this year is the 25th anniversary of his discovery.

I know it's steel as opposed to flint, but I'm trying to keep it looking "primitive."

It's a WIP. Still have to figure out how I'm going to finish the handle....

Really like the general purpose blade.
Could you haft that with wet thong and pine pitch?
Maybe a softer wood to get it to pull tight?

Interesting project, I tried to copy the copper knives of the Amesbury Archer once but didn't have the correct dimensions so mine were much too large, as were my first efforts at his "gold" hair decorations. All corrected when I saw the originals in Salisbury Museum.

I'm not trying to replicate anything....just finding inspiration. I plan to put a wrap on the front of the handle, at least....
