Had a wee overnight camp on Inchmoan beach last night. Not my pic, but a good one. The beach is the crescent sandy one on the South side.

Camp pitched on sandy beach area to avoid ticks. Lots of deer sign on the lowwater line.

Rain came at 11ish when we landed at Aldochlay, and we had a Dino's of Helensburgh, freshly made ice cream to finish off.

Is it tick season already? I was going to ground dwell next weekend but I think I might take the hammock now

We saw some ticks in from the beach when digging a poo and pee pit. Some squashed bull rushes, looked like deer had been kipping there. The bracken is still brown.

Hence we like sandy sites.

Old post but - frosty coating on outside of the tent in the morning. The boy had two sleeping bags. He was toastie. I had my -10 Nanak, no hood on but a balaclava.

A great spot. There were three different grips there last night so I went back to Torinch to camp last night.
