That's pretty cool. TBH, though, I've never found those packaged scalpels all that sharp. I prefer single edged razor blades. I use these all the time for dissecting in my lab classes. Brand new scalpel blades never seem as sharp as single edged razor blades. I dunno. And single edged blades come with a built in handle. They are sharp enough to make the delicate cut lengthwise through the body wall of an ascarid nematode. I alway find scalpel blades kinda flounder at this.

Great idea until the blade pops out quick as he is opening it and he slices the end of his finger
