Is there duty and tax to be paid on second hand goods imported from the states. I am sure that there is but thought I'd ask.

3.2 Is duty charged on used goods?

Used goods are still liable to the same duty and VAT charges as if they were new. However, this may vary depending on their age and condition

The above is copied & pasted from HMRC website.............................

I was looking at second hand bear kodiak bows which are around £140 plus another 45 postage, by the time you get an **** whipping from customs it's around £200,

I guess the next question is when to move up in poundage, at the mo 30# is doable all day, with no aches or pains afterwards.
