Inspired by a Paul Kirtley post and some
Of his videos I’ve been looking about for a grill that one can prop up on rocks and the use as a bit of a camp Kitchen. http://paulkirtley.co.uk/2019/canoe-camping-cookset/

In this post he mentions an American company that makes them. http://www.purcelltrench.com/grills.htm

However I remembered seeing something similar in Ikea last time I was in there called a trivet:https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/laemplig-trivet-stainless-steel-30111087/
Certainly A lot cheaper than the aforementioned hand made jobbies. And looks sturdy enough to hold up several full billies.

Has Anyone tried this? Sadly don’t have an Ikea to nip to close by any more

That looks cool and very cheap. I use the lamplig trivet on my ikea cutlery drainer stove. It holds up just fine so I reckon it would be ok. Next time I'm in ikea I'll get one and give it a try.

Been using one for ages and they're ideal for using over a fire.

Only criticism is the bars are a bit to wideset to be using it for direct cooking of food like burgers, steaks etc. I ovecame that by removing the grill from a disposable bbq. The two items are perfect combo

Awesome. I’ll set about sourcing one.
Was just thinking to put pots on it. But disposable bbq grill sounds like a good addition thanks for the tip.

What are they like weight wise? Wasn’t planning on carrying it far but always good to know

Just as a side note, the original LÄMPLIG was solid stainless rather than tubular, weighed a ton but was solid as a tank. I've still got one somewhere that I used as a grill with my heavy fire kit.

It was only when I went back for another that I realised they had gone hollow which makes them far more useful. I've been cutting them up and passing them on to mates ever since. Cheap as chips.
