I need a new thermos.

For a alternative jack flask morrisons or the range do a flip up lid flask which is ideal. The right size for those frequenting coffee shops seeking regular brews.

Somehow, I have acquired 3 stainless(?) steel units over the years.
1. Stanley Aladdin brand 37cm x 10cm. 1200g. screw cup and cork. 1,000ml capacity.
2. Thermos brand 30cm x 9cm. 900g. screw cup and cork. 1,000ml capacity.
3. No-Name no-brand 28cm x 6cm. 500g. screw cup and very good threaded flip cap. 425ml capacity.

It's 90 miles east to a town and 140 miles west to the city. In between is rock, water and forest.
Nobody lives there. No coffee shops. Bring your own!

#1 and #2 are hopeless fights in the moving vehicle. Not used once a year.
#3 is very convenient, even to pour coffee on the move. Every few weeks.
The flip cap stopper on #3 has remained water tight for years,
no matter how many times I have dropped that thing on its head.

I still own and use sporadically one of those ancient thermoses where the flask is glass, and enveloped by a very thin two miece metal protection.
Is good to use as the opening has a cork that is easily removed with the mouth.

It has miraculously survived for more than two decades.

I hope I have not jinxed it now.....

You might find one of those in a Chinese food store.

Compared to the stainless steel flasks, it keep the liquid hot for much, much longer.

I use a Thermos Stainless King 0,5 litre.

It is a very good product.

In my opinion better than any thing else I have seen.

Depends on what your planning to use it for;

Walking about between brewing up - Lifeventure thermal mug with the screw top

Day out with a pack - Stanley 1 litre job

Camping with a car etc.. - Thermos 2 litre glass job

I've found that the glass flasks hold the heat in better than the steel flasks, if you look after them.
