I,D, on this please

Hi,
Whilst on a walk at the weekend came across this on a large pine.
It looked a little bigger than a golf ball, about 20 feet up the tree, silver ish in colour.
I am not sure if it’s crystalized resin.
Can some ID it for me please with any extra info?

Looks like one of those fungi that can move about Bill.
