These are a tad too tight for me. I would say they are closer to a 34" than 36" waist.
Sizing just claims Large.

Would also swap for a good bushy top, or another pair of trousers, 36" waist or just something cool.

Its very heavy tight wool. Sized as 44 but that's conservative ...plenty of room for layers, not that you'd need much. I've been wearing it on these cold mornings.
