Hunting in England.

What are the laws on hunting in England? I know Bow Hunting is illegal, but what about air rifles? when and where can u do it? etc. American "Hunting Seasons" are world renowned but I have no idea about here.

Pheasant October 1st - February 1st.
Partridge September 1st - February 1st.
Grouse August 12th - December 10th.
Ptarmigan August 12th. - December 10th.
Blackgame August 20th - December 10th.
Common Snipe August 12th. January 31st.
Woodcock October 1st - January 31st. (England & Wales)
Woodcock September 1st. - January 31st. (Scotland)
Coot/Moorhen/ Golden Plover September 1st. - January 31st.

Duck & Goose (Inland) September 1st. - January 31st.
Duck & goose (foreshore) September 1st. - February 20th.
no closed season on rabbit

air rifles are ok but you must have land owners permission

Thats grand, thank you kindly for your replies. on't know if I could actually pull the trigger if I'm honest. I'd love to hone the tracking and stalking part, but unless it was my life or the animals I don't think I could do it. Not knowing that I could go back to my house and cook a mean pasta bake.
