Hunting Exhibition in Budapest - many pics, mostly of knives :)

Yesterday my fiancée and I spent the day at the Fehova Hunting and Fishing Exhibition in Budapest.

Here are a few pics...

It was well attended...

Some crafts were shown, this chap was engraving metalwork, he'd built an ingenious mount for his vice, it was on a ball and socket that could be loosened by depressing a foot pedal.

Many many dogs...

Lots of rifles and shotgun manufacturers...

Several custom knife stands...

Many of the mass produced knife manufacturers were present, Buck, Boker, Frosts, Chris Reeve etc.

Including some odd looking japanese blades...

More people...

Kids in Hungary have a better grasp of where the meat on the table comes from...

He told you the truth I got the Big guns when I was in Africa most
were purchased from your countryman needing the cash to go home on holiday I used them to hunt while I was there Just keep them for old times sake now Except for the .375 flanged it is a great bear and moose gun. I also have a lot of fun watching the ones that want to shoot the
.600 the look on there face when it goes off is priceless They never want to shoot the other barrel.

I have a large collection as I keep most of what I buy. SWMBO says to many But she likes them to the .450 was her dangerous game rifle while we were in Africa

Tiz a pity that such artillery hasn't really got much use in this day and age, the Double Express rifle is the peak of the gunsmiths art

I'd seriously think about selling a kidney for something like this............

Yes it is a pity the last time the Big ones the .600, 577, and the .500
were fired at a game animal was in the early 70,s But come on over I have plenty of space to shoot just remember the cartridges for the big ones are around 10 to 20 bucks a round. the first one in the .600 is
free I don,t charge for that one. But I will need to see your med policy if you have never shot a Big double before
and if you want to hunt Humvees it is OK by me I have no love for them
But we could go to a Texas game management area and hunt rhino if I hit them with a hot shot We my get a charge then you could save the day. Just joking on the last part.
