I learned this figure 8 coil in the fingers from Mike Lumio's great tarp setup video (Bushcraft Northwest). I add the cinch knot from the cord itself to my coils. This lets me feed paracord during a project, such as a long weave, without tangling. As a bunch of cord is withdrawn, you just tighten the cinch knot. I keep a 6' length of paracord in my pocket at most times for misc. needs and its coiled this way.

That is very neat, I use that style of hanking but the cinch is a great way to finish it off. Thanks for posting, I will certainly try that.
