Anyone familiar with this gentleman? I'm working on a special project recreating the Kephart knife. The knife I made is O1 steel with a 5" blade, 4 1/2" handle with Brazilian ironwood scales. I've provided a link with some interesting reading about the man.

Thanks Abbe. It's a basic design and the blade can be shortened to make a smaller working knife. I'm trying to stay within the dimensions of the original.

That is a very nice rendition of a little known Kephart knife made by Colclesser. Kephart was known for his preference for a woodcraft pattern but this online collection based on Kephart's life has turned up this model:

I realy enjoy the simple line of design. Would be nice to buy it for the price of the add. :D I take the 5- inch blade then, and only 2 dollar, this where the times!

Hoodoo, that is the old ad I have that I used to pattern my rendetion from. Here's the sheath. I made a few changes by request from whom I'm making it for.

Thank you John. The blade is an 1/8" thick, width is 1 1/4". It also has a full convex grind and edge.
