Honey cake!

Today I unleashed my inner Delia and made a honey cake. Honey from our hives and eggs for our own chickens were used. We've lost the blooming scales so I did it all by eye and it came out great tastes lovely and won't last long around here!

Just about! We were kind and left my dad a slice for when he gets home- but it's early days yet

I got into making bread once. It was awsome, but never lasted long enough to go cold

It's always like that with tasty food- I used to make chocolate brownies and they were literally not around for ten minutes!

I'm running the dehydrators flat out at the moment drying apples. Just too many to process to be had for the asking. I'm using the cores and peels to make pectin for jam as I fancy making some sloe jelly to go with meat.
