hi my name is mark im 48 years old and love outdoors and love the life of grid , im at the age now in my life i can start a fresh with living of the grid so i can get away from the rest of the world for a while

The best is to go in the middle of nowhere of course.


No, not really. The best is locating yourself next to a lovely little town in bicycle distance. And having all technical options is no fault. You don't necessarily have to use them. Living off grid isn't so great as people imagine. A electrical power generator isn't so quiet, you know? And just make a few cubic metres of fire wood with Stihlsaw and axe and imagine to do that in 30 years.

It can be done if you are healthy but could become difficult if not.
