I was imagining the same type of river as Watford where you only know it's there if you peer over the bridge through the trees to the trolleys ... but just popped in on streetview to see and Bedford is on the Ouse with boats sailing up and down. Not what I imagined. But, I love the name River "Ooze" ... sounds to me like the ford was 3 foot of stinking mud.

Where I am we have a smaller tributary of the Ouse....the Ouzel (like a diminutive Ooze )
