A number of members on here already know me from British Blades days of old and currently EdgeMatters forums.
I also lurked on BCUK for a while back during my BB days.
Recently slipped back into things now my family is of the age where camping is exciting. (Mind you My 4 year old still thinks camping means solely getting a fire going and Toasting marshmallows.
) And so far we have managed to still stay a very outdoorsy family.
Still buying and selling various knives, tools and equipment as my kit constantly evolves to suit current needs and BCUK is ideal to expand my options for marketplace dabbling.
Used to do custom knife work & mods as a hobbyist but only dabbling occasionally these days.
Camping and Bushcraft excursions are still A lot less so these days currently, but still like to keep my hand in and my eldest (9) is just starting to take an interest in me teaching things.
learnt most of my Sketchy skills when I was younger from lots of outdoor time with my Great grandad and grandad who we’re both army engineers and scout leaders. Topping up with hints and tips as needed with more recent techniques. And always interested in keeping an eye on the latest ideas for how things are done.
In a nutshell A lot of my end results are still of the “It ain’t pretty but it works” school
Looking forward to dipping a toe in to the BCUK world proper
