Some of you may know that I am an ecologist. I specialise in mammals;especially bats and badgers, but cover most other furry things. I have worked on projects with reptiles but it is an additional skill, not my main one.
Now I know there is a herptologist amongst us and am after a bit of help IDing a lizard I photographed today whilst out looking for adders.
It was easily about 10cm long in total (and was missing a tail) and is a bit stockier than the common lizards Zootoca vivipara I have seen, so I would like the input of someone slightly more experienced.
