Help - British Waterways, canals MAPS ???

Hi All,

Anyone know where i can download maps of parts of the UK canal network ?

google turns up a few dead links and some pretty crappy sites,


or is amazon my best bet ?

Go into your nearest British Waterways office and ask for a map, as far as I can remember they are free.
If that's not convenient, give the office nearest to where you wnat a call, I am sure they will help

The Mrs used to work for them for a couple of years and I advised them a little on mapping using GIS when I had finished my GIS Masters Degree.

The Head Office is in Watford, Hertfordshire. The best place for any detailed mapping over and above normal navigation and tourist type info is from their Engineering Department which is based up in Leeds.

They are nice folks.
