I’m Mike, a newbie from Wiltshire, heading towards retirement in less than a year, and needing to get out more! All part of the get fitter, and more in touch with nature campaign as more time becomes mine.
I’ll be heading for my first wildish camp out soon, escorted by my kids, 28 & 31, helping to turn Father’s Day into a weekend! They’ll be in more conventional ground based arrangements, while I hope to swing low in a DD Frontline Hammock under a DD 3 x3 Tarp.
So excited, like a kid with a new toy, hoping to put all the bushcafty techniques into practice that we learned in a day’s course in Devon earlier this year. My Prussic knots are already tied on my ridge line! There, did I say that right?
