despite the snobbery fly-fishing is not hard! Try online tutorials, then casting ON WATER, on land/grass is quite different and does not help progress.
There are excellent wee streams in Yorkshire which would be a good place to start

Thanks guys... All sounds really good in terms of a meet or something! I'm from the bottom of Swaledale basically.. So know the area that some of you mean..

I could probably supply some deer skin etc if people wanted to have a go at curing..

I fancy trying to cook a haunch in a stone age oven.. like RM did years ago..
