Helle Mandra
I have a brand new unused Helle Mandra knife for sale. This is another knife which I bought it on a whim a couple of years ago because I thought it looked cool (it does!) but then never actually used and it has sat in a draw ever since.
The Mandra knife was developed by Helle and Les Stroud during the television series of Survivorman. It was designed as a small 'three finger' neck knife with a 3.1 inch triple laminated H3LS stainless steel blade polished to a mirror finish and has a 2.7” curly birch handle.
Despite the small size it’s surprisingly comfortable to hold in a three finger grip. Alternatively this would make an ideal first knife for teaching small children about bushcraft and knife skills. It may be tiny but it is not a toy. It is a proper razor-sharp knife made to the same standard as Helle’s other full tang bushcraft knives.
It comes in a nice cardboard tube with a Helle fabric handkerchief type of thing and a card booklet. It has a leather sheath with a belt loop and there is also a piece of leather cord so that it can be hung around your neck. I know that Helle knives can occasionally be a bit hit or miss on how they look but I can confirm that this specific one has been perfectly made and looks really beautiful.
