Excellent piece of work, what height did you settle on in the end?

Bottom of handle at 45", means my forearm is just above parallel to the floor at the hand; and bottom of thumb groove at 56 1/2" for downhill braking effect. If it proves too high in extended use, I can trim the length and refit the ferrule.

I find shoulder height to be ideal for me, as you can always shorten it simply by lowering your grip,
