anyone know of somewhere i can get the above? i want to extend my polish lavvu with an extra skirt. but want some h/d material.

Cheers rich, I did see that one and some others on eBay, little surprised at the price tbh, I could buy another lavvu and cut it up, use it to Make the skirt for half the price!!

Been trying to find some old surplus canvas, but I'm not having any joy with that either!

ah handy thread. my polish lavvu arrived with several holes in one of the ponchos so need some surplus for patching it up. samples may be a simple answer im sure there was a thread not long ago about sourcing canvas try searching for it

You could try giving Anchor Supplies at Ripley a call. They seem to specialise in MOD surplus tents, and may well have a few left over from the grading process which aren't fit for selling. It's a long shot, but it's worth giving them a call. They'll gladly do mail order too.

I have got loads of it , in white well some of it is dirty stained etc , came from a chandler originally , then was used for a yurt (18feet across ) i have been using it to make temporary field kitchen/shelter at my meets , from about 4foot square pieces up to a piece about 20feet square , its thick and strong and waterproof , but also heavy .

Would consider swapping for something , but postage would be an issue .

Also i have thinner stuff ,in white was a 12foot x 10foot patrol tent , in various size pieces .

How much do ya need? My Polish Lavvu has half rotted from being out all winter! Top half is still good though, so I could cut some of for ya.

BTW... Like your signature, I use it on another forum. It is so true...
