Oh that should be brilliant, if I can get anywhere near the television (am
at parents' house having some lovely time off!) - I've sat smiling at his
TV programmes over the past few weeks, he's just great.

The one where he became half man half float to watch wildlife from water
was particularly entertaining.

Thanks :)

You do kind of warm to him for both his candour and enthusiasm though I’m sure he is not to everyone’s liking. I smiled at his confession at coming to his village as something of a rogue and I remain most impressed with what he considers to be just a ‘nip’ of whisky!

Should be an entertaining show.

Am I the only one who noticed that when the “sami grandfather” was in the tepee he was using what looked like a blue handled Frosts knife to cut his salted reindeer flesh?

I could watch the man all evening!

Eric

Sure Jasus issent anything is better than being stuck around an auld campfire in some god forsaken place?
He reminds me of Fred Dibnah, the steeplejack.

But Eastenders is frequently repeated, both on the same night
and at the weekends. That's just cruel!

I liked the reindeer racing - I really wasn't expecting that, or the
sledding.

Although a different programme you could stay up late next Thur
and watch "A year on Exmoor" at 2.50am on the 4th Jan.

Farewell Old Friend
Grave-digger and amateur cameraman Johnny Kingdom films the wildlife
of the moors and woodlands of Exmoor. It's summer and Johnny has great
news - he's managed to buy the land that his badger hide is on. But his
excitement is overshadowed by worries about Bambi, his three-legged pet
deer, whose leg is getting worse. As he tries to come to terms with this,
the village ask him to open their biggest annual event, the Bishops Nympton
Flower Show - a great honour, but also a daunting prospect.

:censored: it wasn't on Teleport Replay* either!!!!, although that might mean its about to be repeated on another channel.

(*Telewest service that allows you to watch some BBC programmes up to 7 days after they were first shown)

Looks like I will be up at 02:10 next Friday, thanks for that. :) :) :)

He is a bit eccentric, but his enthusiasm drags you in. I can't remember how old he said he was, but he is a lot older than he looks and he is still tramping around Exmoor with a camera slung on his back. I hope I can do that when I am that old!
