Can anyone help please?
I have had a bit of a google to answer this but can't see something definitive. Unfortunately it brings up answers about density of trees or density of coppiced stools but not the density of the wood itself. Rather than spending ages searching I thought I would ask here as I have a suspicion that someone will know of a source of the info.
The info I'm after is like this:
http://www.csudh.edu/oliver/chemdata/woods.htm
I basically want to be able to compare the density of a piece of hazel with a like-for-like sized piece of another species. I know I could cut, dry and weigh myself but that info must be out there somewhere, surely?
Thanks!
