Two cheap things to cheer me up at the moment:
A real wool-felt Swiss Hat £4.50 from Endicotts. Warm and alot less bulky than many other ones of their style. Well made and won't melt near the fire. Packs flat.

Primark zip front khaki/green micro fleeces - well made, double layer collar, elastic draw cords and toggles at hem. Front pockets too. Only had sizes small and medium (38-40inch) in at the Exeter store - I am a 43 inch and these fit like a close base layer......just £2. Perfect and trashable for the price.
