Hi everyone - this is my first post .
I just wondered if anyone has seen this tent at...
http://www.greenoutdoor.co.uk/products.asp?section=32§ionTitle=Products&productid=10
It is described as... "a super lightweight 2 berth expedition tent. Easy pitch using walking poles, canoe paddles or standard camping poles (not included). 2 in 1 can be pitched as a full tent complete with inner or flysheet only as an ultra lightweight emergency shelter". It is currently selling for £49 ("was £189"!).
Anyway... I bought one. I'm going to try it out for 4 days in early September, while I'm on a bowmaking course, so I'll report back.
I didn't order the optional poles, but they sent me some free anyway. It was the height of this tent that appealed to me: it looks like 2 tipis merged into one and I think it's around 1.5 metres tall. I'll have the car close by, so I'm going to take 2 telescopic aluminium "decorating" poles too.
Fingers crossed...
